A Sweet and Savory Sunday: Baking Up a Storm in Our Kitchen

Celebrating Mother’s Day with a Classic Recipe

Today was a baking extravaganza in our kitchen. I kicked things off by whipping up a batch of my classic bread recipe. This tried-and-true formula includes a touch of sugar, which always brings a smile to Joy’s face. There’s something comforting about the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the house, especially on a Mothers’ Day morning.

Sugar-Free Baguettes for the Week Ahead

Next on the agenda were my sugar-free baguettes. I always make sure to bake enough to last me at least a week, as they’re my go-to breakfast staple. These crusty, golden loaves are the perfect way to start my day, and I love knowing that I have a healthy option on hand whenever hunger strikes.

Jacob’s Sunday Pizza Request

Finally, it was time to tackle Jacob’s request for another Sunday pizza. I’ve been suspecting that my retired Tecno oven wasn’t heating up properly anymore, and today confirmed it. I recently upgraded to a new oven, and I’m thrilled to report that my first pizza came out absolutely perfect. The crust was crispy, the cheese was melted to bubbly perfection, and the toppings were cooked just right. I have a feeling this new oven will be seeing a lot of action in the coming weeks and months.

A Satisfying Day in the Kitchen

All in all, it was a fantastic day of baking. From the classic bread to the sugar-free baguettes to the picture-perfect pizza, I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. There’s something so satisfying about spending a day in the kitchen, creating delicious treats for the people I love. I’m already looking forward to next Sunday’s baking adventures!
